FilmFyn is the regional film fund for Funen, committed to supporting filmmakers and productions that bring local talent and stories to life. With over 20 years of experience, we know film does more than create jobs and growth—it sparks pride and puts Funen firmly on the cultural and international map.

We back projects that help build a sustainable film environment by combining creative vision with a practical, flexible approach. Rooted in our community but with a global outlook, FilmFyn is much more than a fund—we’re a dedicated partner working to bring great films to life and open new doors for filmmakers and audiences alike.

So far, we’ve supported over 250 successful productions, including features, documentaries, and TV series—many of which have earned national acclaim and international attention.

FilmFyn supports minor productions that promote the growth of Funen-based production companies through collaboration with foreign producers. We also encourage projects that creatively or technically involve Funen-based film professionals in international partnerships. Their involvement is vital to strengthening and professionalizing the regional film community as active co-production partners.

To qualify, projects must have Danish creative and technical involvement, with the main producer being foreign. Support depends on confirmed distribution agreements—whether through Danish theatrical release, TV broadcast, or other nationwide platforms—and confirmed financing from the main producer.

Applications for support must be submitted by the Danish minor producer and follow the same process as other FilmFyn funding schemes. For more details visit Støtte (in Danish).
